We are Victorious

There is a song called 'We are victorious', and it speaks towards our mindset of victory in spite of the obstacles. Some of the lyrics say: We are victorious We are victorious Nothing can conquer us We are victorious Standing in the middle of the battlefield Nothing but victory on my mind Never gonna stop; never gonna yield More than a conqueror every time. What Donnie McClurklin was talking about was the resolve of the believer. Resolve is like the rue in a chef's gumbo, the grapes in a wine makers wine, or the engine in a race driver’s car. Without this essential ingredient, the end result would not be the same. You can use something similar to the real thing, but you know you won't get the same result. Resolve by definition is the earnest decision about something; to clear away or dispel any doubt or fears you may have had. Those with resolve are intentional about what they do, steadfast in spite of what they go through, and will not quit, for quitting is not an option! Paul had resolve, when he said, "being confident of this, he that began a good work in you shall carry it through." (Phil 1:6) Peter was full of resolve when he said, "don't be surprised at the painful trials that you are suffering as if something strange were happening to you; but rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you'll be overjoyed when God's glory is revealed.”(1 Peter 4:12-3). He knew God was showing up, do you? The question wasn't if, but when; it wasn't might, but will. Don't ever forget while in your struggle, that Christ has already helped you overcome, (that's what he accomplished on Calvary's cross) what you have not yet to even go through, even before going through it; for the word of God declares, "we have overcome him, by the blood of the lamb and the words of our testimonies." John spoke in Revelation 12:11 to help those who may be wavering concerning Christ return. Understand something, while in the midst of your storms, heartaches, headache, trials, tribulations, hardships or persecutions; and that's if a God be for you, who can come, or who will be against you. WE ARE VICTORIOUS! Pastor Kirkland A. Smith
