A Kept Mind

A Kept Mind Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee. Isa 26:3 There’s a saying, “a mind is a terrible thing to waste.” Or have you heard, “an idle mind is the Devil’s workshop!” or how about, “wherever a pest see’s a crack, he will seek to get into it.” Understand something people of God and that is the Devil is cunning, crafty, and experienced. He has wreaked havoc in the lives of God’s chosen for a long time. Many have succumb to his tactics, but I’m declaring in this season, you are learning about his habits, customs, and behaviors ; and will do everything within your spiritual power to overcome him by following these steps: - Having a Transformed mind: in view of how good God has been to you (in your past, as well as your present), the least you can do is give him your best by complete submission to his will for your life. Whenever times are challenging and you feel like reverting to old ways, remember Christ has overcome the world. Rom 12:1-2; John 16:33 - Having a Renewed mind: stop becoming so impatient and moving before God, learn to simply wait on him and be of good courage while you’re waiting. Good things always come to those who wait. Isa 40:3; Ps 27:14 - Having a Fixed mind: don’t negotiate with the enemy about the things of God; simply resolve within you, God’s plan is best for my life. Heb 12:2; 3 John 2 - Having a Controlled mind: A full fledged commitment to God ensures victory over your mind. It’s not what you will do to please God, better yet, it’s who you are, so it keeps in line with my behavior and actions! Rom 8:5-6, 9 - Having a mind to work: If you want to build anything great for God, you must understand that it’s going to take some time, and also some effort. Nothing for God will be easy, remember the price Christ had to pay on the cross for us to receive eternal life. Neh 4:6, Matt 27:27-31 - Having a Made up mind: no matter what comes my way, I will forget what is behind me and press on towards the mark. Nothing and nobody will separate me from God’s will for my life. Phil 3:13-14 If you utilize all these characteristics of your mind, you will find success in your daily walk with God. Keep your mind in perfect peace by doing it God’s way. Keep your mind in perfect peace by doing it when God’s says. Keep your mind in perfect peace by doing it where and with you God says. Blessed is the man who perseveres for he will receive the crown of life that God promised. James 1:12 Take heed, Pastor Kirkland A. Smith
