I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the LORD Most High. Psalm 7:17
Today I am Grateful!
Ever recall a time you were not paying attention and someone briefly ‘tapped’ their horn to remind you that we (all cars behind you) are waiting on you to move forward; or what about you not paying attention and needing to get into a turn only lane and someone allowed you to get in the right lane at the last minute. Or better yet what about forgetting to ask for something with your fast food order and then requesting the change at the pickup window and they complied! Or the ultimate, being in court knowing you’re guilty of a traffic (moving) violation, but the judge provides you a pardon based upon some conditions he mentioned in the hearing. You are found not guilty, free to go, and never to be concerned about that violation again. There’s not a person who wouldn’t be happy, or extremely appreciative to that particular judge who freed them from their penalty for their violation.
Thanksgiving would be an understatement if someone asked how you felt!! Today and for all this month I’m going to reflect upon the one who tapped his spiritual horn and encouraged me to move forward.
• The one who still allowed me to ask for something even when I was in the wrong place.
• The one who even when I was in the wrong place, was patient and allowed me to get in the right lane.
• Finally, the one Judge (my Lord and Savior) who has forgiven me, exonerated me, delivered me, healed me, and wiped my slate clean.
Today is a day I am truly grateful. David declared it, Paul taught it, and Peter died because of it, what about you??
Then we your people, the sheep of your pasture, will thank you forever and ever,
praising your greatness from generation to generation Psalm 79:13
