Where are you going?
As
summer has now presented itself, many kids will ask one another “where are you
going this summer?” Many will travel to destinations, while others will stay
put. This could become the saint’s plight as well (staying put and going
nowhere in your walk with the Lord), unless we put in some work (Prayer, Praise, and Prophecy-we need to
speak that Word over our lives!).
There’s
a story of a lost motorist who asked for directions.
“Where is the main highway to Justin ?”
“I don’t know”, the farmer said.
“Well, where is the highway to Sandford?”
“I don’t know”, the farmer said
“Then where then does this highway go?”
“I don’t know”, the farmer said
“You don’t know much do you?” the motorist said
sarcastically.
“No, the farmer told the motorist,
but I ain’t lost.”
Stop trying to get to places God
has intended for you without His spiritual life map. It only makes the trip
more difficult and tedious. Enjoy the trips with God, even when it’s to a
destination that you wouldn’t have necessarily chosen. Never forget God
promised to always be with us and never to leave us, nor forsake us (Joshua
1:5b).
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,
plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
(Jeremiah 29:11)
Let’s make this a very productive season!
