As we have now entered the 8th month of the year (August), many people are completing vacations, and others already preparing for the conclusion of summer; although traditionally there still are a few weeks left in the summer. People have already begun looking forward to the end of the summer, to school starting back, and to the end of 2009. There's nothing wrong with looking forward, but there's so much (about 40% left) of 2009 left to live!
God told Joshua (Moses anointed replacement as Israel's leader) that though he was old in years, there was still more land left for him to lead God's people to acquire. Age and being advanced in years didn't disqualify him from receiving all of that which God had declared was "theirs." Therefore this is a message to all of those who have Joshua spirits and believe God at his word (remember Joshua and Caeb were the only two who believed that the land of Caanan was theirs).
How many of you really believe the land, the house, the job, the healing, the joy, the peace, the deliverance is yours?? What are you doing to position yourself to get the land? Stop focusing on what was and be reminded by God as he did Joshua of what is!
There's still so much of 2009 left to live. Let's start off our month in faith with great praise being rendered to a great God. There's some land out there for you to acquire (take over). Is the Lord talking to somebody in here?
Come on, let's go get it!
